Stony Point Baptist Church - Children's Ministry

Our purpose for the Pre-School Ministry is to present the gospel of Jesus Christ in individual and small group settings. Children are nurtured in and shown the love of God by presnting stimulatingk hands-on activities. Our Preschool Ministry is one of the best minstries at Stony Point Baptist Church. We believe in providing a safe environment for all children. We have Sunday School classes for every age level and an extended session after Sunday School (during the 10:30 Worship Service) for Preschoolers from bed babies to kindergarten.

Our purpose for the Children's Ministry is to share and present to children Christ's love by the use of grounded Biblical teaching and by the example that our caring and dedicated teachers show.

Pastor Pals

During our Worship Service, Pastor Phil calls up his pastor pals and has a special message just for them.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is a five night (6:30-9:00 PM) summer event with a different theme each year. Children are age-grouped and all activities center around that particular theme- Bible stories, mission studies, recreation, crafts and snack.

G-Force

G-Force is for Boys and Girls in grades 1st through 6th meets weekly on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM for music, bible stories and other activities.

Littlekids Time

Littlekidstime is bible stories and activities presented to children ages 3 to Kindergarten at 7:00 PM on Sunday evening (during Worship Service).

The Great Commission ("Go ye therefore and teach all nations." Matthew 28:19-20) is taught in our children's missionary organizations. Missionaries and their work of telling others about Jesus Christ in home and international fields are studied. Children learn that missionaries can be supported by our prayers and our monetary donations.

Girls in Action

Girls in Action (GA's)

GA's are girls in grades 1-6 who meet on Sunday evening at 5:30-6:10. We study about missionaries and missions work all over the world. We learn how to have the courage to go out and tell other people about Jesus' amazing love. We participate in various mission opportunies such as collecting backpacks filled with school supplies for those less fortunate. We have also collected bags filled with soap, shampoo, toys, books, crayons, candy and all sorts of other goodies for foster children who are being placed in a new foster home. We recently held a Back Yard Bible Club at a local daycare. It is wonderful to be able to see these young girls teaching others.

GA Pledge

As a GA, I will do my best to live a missions lifestyle that honors God by learning about missions, giving to missions, praying for missions, doing missions and participating in the work of the church.
